It's been a while since we properly caught up with @seanmccabe, based in Bristol, Sean is one of the UK's finest house producers, he is also behind the classy label @goodvibrationsbristol which consistently releases some of the finest Soulful house around.

His latest project is an album with Chicago songwriter and producer Harold Matthews Jr who has worked with the likes of Ron Trent, Terry Hunter, Maurice Joshua and Ron Carroll crafting songs such as “Ritual Of Love” and Barbara Tucker’s “I Get Lifted”. 

We have a full interview with Sean incoming about the project, in the meantime he put together a worship mix for us picking out some of Harold Matthews Jr's finest moments. It's an incredible mix showing the depth and breath of his work.

A squelchy riff and deep bass guitar introduce swinging piano keys and classic disco vocals in George Davis' aptly named 'Marimba Disco', with the iconic percussion instrument taking centre stage throughout House legend Kai Alcé remixes the track, amplifying the funk with dubbed hits and ceaseless rhythm, once again proving himself to be a true luminary via his wide range of influences spanning Detroit, Atlanta, Haiti and New York. 

Ebunya' then proceeds with a tough set of drums, resonant bass and quirky keys while a beautiful vocal leaves its mark, before 'Budoshida' closes things with infectious drums, the jazzy strum of a guitar and more smooth vocals.

A very special and personal tribute mix dedicated to the memory of Paul "Trouble" Anderson. He was one of the most influential British DJ when it came down to break the Soulful House and Garage sound coming from NYC / New Jersey in the late 80's and early 90's. 

His unique, raw and intense style of mixing secured him countless gigs from early raves in the second summer of love to his legendary Loft parties. His adventurous programming at the Advanced Dance Mix Show on Kiss FM was unlike any other dj's in the early 90's. He was definitely championing the American flavors of the House spectrum while at the same time incorporating Disco classics, Italo House, Breakbeat oriented tracks and early european "funkier" Techno tracks. Somehow he was a British equivalent of Tony Humphries with his own personal twist on the music. 

This mix features anthems from The Loft and The Advanced Dance Mix Show. Play loud and do remember : "Trouble is in the Land"!!! R.I.P. Trouble!

Sean continued his musical journey by launching his ‘Good Vibrations Music’ label.

As a DJ, he forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he performed regularly.
