RJ Nu-Disco & Edits Best Of 2020 Mix

It may have been a pretty rubbish year in general, but Midnight Riot has done its best to keep us entertained via a wealth of disco and boogie-centric EPs. If you missed out on many of the label's 2020 treats, don't worry, because they've gathered together the best of their recent output on this epic compilation. Drawing on original nu-disco, revivalist disco, feel-good house, synth-heavy boogie sounds and gently tooled-up edits, highlights are predictably plentiful. Our picks include the summery soulful house goodness of 'Nothing But the Music (Hotevilla Mix)' by Platinum City, the nu-boogie brilliance of Qwestlife's remix of 'Savage' by Tommy Glasses, the loopy disco-house joy of Mottes 'The Horse Ride' and Yam Who's 'Full Vocal Mix' of Sam Shelley's sunshine disco number 'Groove It'.

For the final Spin City Show of the year, as I have done in years gone by, I selected a few of my favourite tracks from 2020 and put them together in a 2 hour bundle for you all. Pookie Knights stormed the New Year in for Black Light Disco's show on MyHouse Radio airing on 4th Jan 2021. 

For the first hour, it's straight up vinyl - analogue heaven from the lads who know exactly what they're doing on the turntables. For the second hour, they put the pedal to the metal with a parade of non-stop disco bangers  - aided by a liberal sprinkling of some acid tones in there for those in the know. It's a cracking start to 2021 and marks a year for Black Light Disco airing on the number one House Music station on the planet, MyHouse Radio.
