Wemoto Radio welcomes Faro! 

Faro grew up on her Dad’s collection of R&B and Soul, and started getting into electronic music in her early teens. Soulful sounds continue to always be the key ingredient in her musical selection, often combining elements of 90’s House, Jazzy Deep House, Broken Beat, Disco, Garage and beyond. Often praised for her warm and positive energy on and off the decks, she has a strong ability to read a crowd and play a diverse range of music whilst also staying true to her style. The selector has been honing her craft on the decks for 5 years, however has recently delved more into production with a debut EP on the way.

Regarded as one of London's "leading disco labels", The Disco Express first began as a series of loft parties in March 2017, playing host to a slew of top acts... ourselves included. Drawing inspiration from the energy of 70's New York, their parties are fun, inclusive, and provide a platform (geddit?) for the good times to take you deep into the night.

Evolving into a full-fledged record label in 2020, The Disco Express is now of the most reliable sources for hi-nrg, soulful, dance music.

Italian house legend Don Carlos has had an incredible renaissance over the last few years reworking many of his lost anthems from the 90's as well as delivering some excellent new material and classy remixes.

His latest release sees him land on @razor-n-tape alongside S-Tone Inc for the sublime Montego Bay. To celebrate the release Don Carlos stepped back behind the Le Visiteur decks and delivered the latest edition of our Selectors Mix series. As we have come to expect from him it's a mix layered with that Delicious Italian Dream House sound, From euphoric Mediterranean pads and synth brass lines to those throbbing M1 basslines.

With a brand new single 'I Love Only You' out now on his own SoSilly Records we asked @jerk-boy to deliver a Worship Mix of an artist or a label which has been hugely influential in his own career. He picked one that is very close to our own heart in the shape of the compendium of labels and producer that make up Boys Own / Junior Boys Own and Jus' Trax. The mix is proper as you would very much expect from both Jerk Boy who is dynamite behind the decks and also with such an incredible discography to choose from.

The first time I caught @samredmore was in the mix for Craig Charles BBC Radio 6 Funk and Soul show and it was a bit of a wow moment. That he is an extremely talented DJ is an understatement.

He is also a very accomplished artist and currently has a brilliant album Universal Vibrations out via the spiciest of UK labels @jalapeno-records.

With a great single 'One More Time' out now and a new single dropping on the 21st we spoke to Sam about his career and he also put together this brilliant mix for us. PBR Streetgang are currently celebrating 20 years in the business with their excellent PBR 20 LP, a compilation of their finest moments which showcases some of their most celebrated original tracks alongside some of their exquisite remixes, including a few which have never been officially released before.

They are also on the road this summer and one of the gigs that really stands out is their appearance at the Wild Wood Disco, in Linton Cambs, on Friday June 16ht when they takeover the Paradise Lost stage with Apricot Ballroom and Mafalda.

@gleddmusic has been a fascinating artist to watch over the last few years.
