@LAGASTA this week are releasing a packed 17 track compilation 'With Love' supporting this years Pride, Athens LGBTQ Youth Community and Emantes International LGBTQIA & Solidarity. Featuring tracks from some truly talented electronic artists including  Boys Shorts, In Flagranti, Hard Ton, Photonz, Justin Cudmore and @theokottis its tracklist showcases everything from Leftfield Disco, through electronica and techno into the deeper progressive edges of house. 

Our premier today is Theo's wonderfully emotive NYC, with it's spoken vocal extolling the early days of House music in NYC and it's interconnection with the hip hop and party scene. With throbbing synths, looped up vocals and powerhouse drums it's another classy outing from the always impressive Theo Kottis.

@ralphsession has been releasing some absolutely killer house music over the last 12 months on his @halfassedrecords label. His tracks have that Nu classic feel and he is clearly a producer who can easily match the ebbs and flows of todays' dancefloor an extensive knowledge about the roots of the genre.

His latest track 'You Know You Want To Get Up' featuring Carla Prather on vocal duties isn't just one of his best tracks to date for us it's one of the best tracks of the year so far. Overflowing with dancefloor groove it captures the energy an excitement of the best of the 90's house music but sounds absolutely now. A future classic for sure. Sometimes a track lands in the digital mailbox which stops everyone in their tracks and Let It Go from Juan Hoerni is definitely one of those perfect musical moments. It's safe to say that we love @djsupermarkt's Too Slow To Disco comps at LV HQ, they are always packed full of brilliant tracks from some of the finest producers around.

July is an absolute bumper month for @tropicaldiscorecords with a sublime series of tracks dropping one after the other from Reece Johnson, who we premiered last week, JB Boogie, Rafael Yapudjian, HP Vince and many more seriously talented producers. 

If we had to pick the stand out track from the whole month though it's this deep jazzy disco groover from label co-boss @Moodena. Timeless 70's disco flute grooves all the way, hypnotic and intoxicating it's one that will stay firmly entrenched on DJ memory sticks across the globe for many months to come.

Jacques Renault has been a longtime favoruite here at LV HQ, his tracks have been regulars in LV dj sets for quite some time. His recent collab with Gerd Janson 'Jacque'd Toolbox' being a fine example of why we hold him is such high esteem. It's a 12" well worth hunting down. 

His latest release is something a little out of the ordinary. Sky Islands is landing just in time for RSD drop 2 and features 23 tracks mixed together over 2 sides of a 12". A mini mix of sorts it's the perfect tool for DJ's who love to do really long sets. Packed with energy each side runs at 14minutes plus so is absolutely ideal for making a quick comfort break with enough time to bag a drink or two on the way back to the booth. Full to the brim of energetic leftfield disco it's heavy on the percussion, big basslines and synths. This is a really classy release.

@wearemakez are a duo whose production skills and deft feel for the music they are making belies their relative ages and indeed their relatively small number of releases to date. Their latest release see's them back on @heistrecordings and this time with a full artist album which is a rarity for the label.

Daje Funk has become a real go to label if you love a modern take on classic funk which has been meticulously recrafted to work for today's dancefloors. There have been some real moments on the label already De Gama, Massimo Berardi, DJ Rocca and some of the finest producers out there today working in the disco and edits scenes.

Their latest release is the Slam Dunk EP and the name hits the nail right on the head. It's most definitely a musical slam dunk with four tracks from across the funk spectrum as an all-star cast of producers Ronny Hammond, Shit Hot Soundsystem, Uptown Funk and Coldbeard all take turns to vie for dancefloor gold.

Our premier today is Ronny Hammond’s ‘Keep On Groovin’ and it’s a very serious club track featuring a classic "where do I know that from" vocal sample. Infectious is the first word that comes to mind to describe Somebody, it's a perfect fusion of classic disco energy and 2021 production techniques with the resultant track being insanely catchy. indeed it's a track which will cause all sorts of mischief on the dancefloor in the coming months.

A collaboration between Los Angeles based @clavettemusic and Austin based producer @boogietraxxatx this one came about through lockdown when the two producers met online and shared their love of 70's disco and production gear.

Somebody is released on the 23rd July with a full EP incoming on the 6th August and if Somebody is anything to go by this is a collaboration that we hope runs and runs. After turning out some great club focused disco and Nu disco over the last few months Ghetto Disco have a really nice change of pace here with Jaycee Styles Pineapple Crush EP. Featuring 2 tracks one deep chilled Nu Disco and the other a really smooth deep house cut it's an EP with both class and charm.
