Deep In Mix Sessions

We welcome Christian Cassar a.k.a. F//asco for the fourth edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. He hails from the beautiful Mediterranean archipelago - Malta.
His association with music dates back to his early days when he was 12 years old, as the singer/guitarist and songwriter in a local punk-rock band. As the years progressed, he got more into dreamy, melancholic, and melodic house genres and finally, at 26 he felt the urge to experiment with music, with more unconventional and elaborate sounds on his guitar, he wasn't really familiar with back then.
He has released 2 EP's on a local label called 'Dazed & Confused Records', a single on 'SLC6' music, on 'RYNTH', and an upcoming track out next week on 'The Purr'.
"I wouldn't say I have a role model but I tend to look up to people who keep an open mind especially when it comes to production. I try to play my favorite genres whenever I can but you always have to be versatile with your music especially in the clubs", Chris says. 
His most cherished experience was playing at the ADE festival in Amsterdam, and also at a couple of clubs in Berlin and Poland.
"It is a pretty chilled out mix. Since the pandemic started, I have been digging into more of low energy, comforting music which takes you on a spiritual and mental journey".
He has included some tracks of people who inspire him musically and his friends/ labels with whom he has worked in the past.

With releases on renowned record labels like Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Balance, Plattenbank etc., his melodic progressions have been championed by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Above & Beyond, to name a few. He has blazed quite a trail within the progressive community and made his presence felt with energetic shows around the globe in places like Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Egypt, Spain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Malta, Romania and Russia. He keeps working on his own productions and monthly podcast 'Flowing', looking forward to conquer the world with his music.

Since then his interest slowly developed into passion and he has never looked back.

Parth generally likes playing out Organic House and Melodic House to the audience. Opening Set for Durante - Live at Club Vinyl - May 26, 2024

We're delighted to present our first ever installment of the DJ mix series 'Deep In Mix'. DIM will comprise of beautifully handcrafted one hour DJ mixes which will explore various artists across the globe as they take us on a soulful-melodic journey with their distinct and unique sounds.

Our focus here at Levitate Music is to unite artists globally and to provide them a platform to showcase their talent with their love for music. We believe that there's so much good music to share and promote whilst which we are striving to build a community of like-minded individuals who possess the same passion and love for music.

To kickstart the series we welcome Sydney based Argentinian DJ/Producer - Ivan Sandhas who has released his music on prominent record labels like Balkan Connection, Modern Agenda, 3rd Avenue, Everything Will Be Ok, The Purr, The Soundgarden to name a few, following a string of successful releases. He has played alongside industry heavyweights  like Dave Seaman, Danny Howells, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn, Robert Babicz etc. 

He derives inspiration from the times when his mother use to play him her vinyl collection and with time he has developed his signature sounds in the genres starting with Progressive House which currently evolved into Deep House and Organic House.

This mix is a perfect example of what I'd love to play for my audience. Deep In Mix 01 with Ivan Sandhas

For the second edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series we welcome our special friend MANA - a DJ/Producer based in Mumbai, India. This mix is bound to make things spicy and take us more deeper.

His association with music dates back to his early days as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist in his school band. In the late 2000's his perspective in electronic music changed completely by his exposure to main acts like Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Sasha, Solomun, Above and Beyond etc, but Avicii remains his greatest inspiration ever. MANA began his music production career in 2015 and got into DJ'ing in 2017 by playing at a few local bars and clubs in Pune, India.

"Honestly, I don't stick to a particular genre as I believe a set is defined by one's feelings at that moment. So, I play anything that I feel might fit right into the situation. Having said that, my mixes primarily have parts of minimal tech, Progressive and at times Indie Dance. I also like mixing my style with Melodic Techno but it completely depends on my mood.

This mix begins on a lighter note but then grows with intensity and gets a little bit dark towards the end. It has a few tracks that convey intense love and longing. I think this set is like some of those relationships that begin well and then end up on the sore side. Ultimately you need to stay strong at the end of it all", MANA quotes.

Deep In Mix 02 with MANA

We welcome Katy Torres for the third edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. She is a London based DJ. Her career began in 2011 in Ukraine, in 2014 life took her to Dubai, UAE, and since November 2017 she resides in London. Her music style is a creative blend of Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House & Techno journeys spiced up with beautiful vocals, deep ethnic beats, dramatic flavors and sounds from around the world. She also plays Nu disco, Soulful, Funky house and House. Her sets are eclectic, conceptual, harmonic and smooth.

The constant high rankings on Mixcloud charts are evidence of her passion in music. In November 2016 she started "Clairvoyance" podcast which has a global reach and is broadcasted by theonemarbella.com and beach-radio.co.uk. From August 2019 she runs a new monthly radio show "Wanderlust", a collaboration with guest DJs across the world that is broadcasted by radiodeep.net, and in 2019 end she started a new podcast “Behind the Yellow Line” with darker vibes in the genres of deep house, tech house and melodic techno.
