Bio:
"Originally from Montreal Canada, Paris-based DJ Feather Hed was initiated to music at the age of 8, when her mom put her to classic piano. Years have passed and after having been exposed to many electronic music genres and experiences, her entourage pushed her to becoming a DJ. Maybe you call it destiny, coincidence or chance: in a few months she became a resident at French Radio FG Chic, and a year later she was invited to play at one of the venues of the Pacha Group in Ibiza.

Feather Hed blends organic sounds and world music with melodic house and techno. Her mixes are characterized by a strong kick and bassline mixed with addictive percussions. Through her sets, her goal is to make the mind travel and connect souls on one and unique vibration. She recently started producing her own songs.
Feather Hed’s past gigs include Lìo (Ibiza), Mirage (Paris), Hôtel Plaza Athénée (Paris), La Hacienda Na Xamena (Ibiza), Random Universe (Barcelona), JNcQOI (Lisbon), SXM Festival (St. Maarten, Caribbean) and The Gritti Palace (Venice). She has a residency at the iconic barge Chez Mila in Paris and at FG Nomade radio. "

Meine Odyssee zieht sich unerwartet in die Länge. Nach einer halben Stunde habe ich völlig die Orientierung verloren und ziehe auch eher unorthodoxe Methoden in Betracht. Vielleicht sollte ich tiefer in die Katakomben hinabsteigen, um weiter hinten einen anderen Weg nach oben zu finden. Ich gebe der nächsten Abbiegung noch eine Chance und atme verzweifelt tief durch. Wieder kommt mir nichts bekannt vor und ich beschließe meinen Plan B in die Tat umzusetzen. Ich gehe zurück zur nächsten Treppe, die nach unten führt und versuche mein Glück. Die Warnhinweise „Betreten für Unbefugte verboten“ ignoriere ich einfach. In meiner jetzigen Situation halte ich mich durchaus für befugt, die unteren Ebenen zu besuchen. Ich bin ja schließlich in einer wichtigen Mission unterwegs. Es geht darum die trockenen Kehlen der Gäste weiter mit flüssigen Köstlichkeiten zu versorgen. Da muss man auch mal über seinen Schatten springen und ungewöhnliche Wege gehen.  

Das dachte sich auch unser heutiger Gast Darksidevinyl. Nicht nur sein Name ist außergewöhnlich, sondern auch seine eigenen Produktionen. Die landen immer wieder in den Beatport Top 100 und stehen für qualitativ hochwertigen Sound. Genau das könnt ihr auch von seiner deep story erwarten.

We welcome Priyanjana Ghoshal for the twenty-third edition of our 'Deep In Mix' series. Originally from Kolkata, but currently residing in Goa, Priyanjana has been spinning the freshest of dance music tunes for all eclectic party-goers for over 17 years now. With residencies and regular appearances at several top nightclubs in various Indian cities, Priyanjana has become one of the most sought artists in the scene.

"The journey kickstarted with me attending a DJ competition and immediately I was in awe of the skill. I was lucky enough to get a chance to intern as an assistant DJ at the Park Hotel, Kolkota, where I gained immense experience by practising during the early hours under the guidance of the key residents. I predominantly enjoy playing Progressive House and Melodic Techno. Some of the best festivals I've played across India are Satellite Beachside & Sunburn Festival, and the best Clubs being Poison, Ahala, Fuga, Waters, Larive and Prism to name a few. Pearl & Ivan are two prominent figures who influenced me as a DJ when I was getting started.", she shares.

This mix features a few of her current favourite Progressive House tracks of 2021 and is meant for easy weekend listening.

Boriso’s love of music began around the age of 17, when she was encouraged by friends to start crafting mixes. Influenced by the deep sounds of labels like, All Day I Dream, Sol Selectas, Shanti Moscow Radio, Tale & Tone, Anjunadeep and 3RD Avenue - Boriso has developed a unique deep organic sound. In 2020, she became increasingly interested in electronic music production and collaborated with musical colleagues to start an independent label - Triangle Strip Digital Audio, Mexico. This has allowed her to focus more on developing her knowledge in music production, with the support of techno producer [and good friend] Bessel Application.
