I made this tune in a couple of hours for a small assignment I had to do for uni. I thought I'd upload it here and see what people think.

I heard the poem 'Punk Rock John' on a YouTube video mid way through making this song and decided to sample it into it. The poem is by Neil Hilborn, who is an absolutely insane poet and you guys should really check out!

Shitty songs because of shitty weathers

Lyrics:
Rolling papers, nothing on tonight
Keep on rolling, hopin’ everything’s alright
I hear them coming, I turn off the light’
I hear them coming, I just fill my cup
‘Cause I’m not waking up, don’t mean I’m giving up
I just want more of these dreams I can’t seem to get enough

Now she’s waiting in my room, (I’m hoping it’s not a mess)
Everything is going well, (she’s gonna take off her dress)
And a little note peaks her interest
She asks “hey where did you find that?”
I say “It’s a secret, let’s just leave it at that.”
Well, she likes a little mystery
But she won’t want my history
So just lie with me, we’ll wait for the sun to set
Listen to Mccafferty, and think about where our lives could be 
In a year from now, or 18 months from now
Cause she says “18 months is better for planning. Cause a year is too short, but 3 years is too long. 18 months? Well, 18 months is perfect, because it’s just in the sweet spot to make plans, and be more realistic about them. You know?” And I say “Yep… Realism is totally my thing..”

Said that all of my faults were genetic

I'm done with being sympathetic, pathetic
I was so apologetic that it put me in hysterics
I said "I'm sorry for living and breathing, I'm begging you please! can't you see that I'm bleeding" 
  
Oh they know they’ve been misleading, i mean it
They recite such hollow words without knowing the meaning I 
Couldn't believe that I believed a thing they’d say 
You won’t believe what they did to my brain
They bleached it out
Wiped it clean
Threw away every last memory
