I-CON is the home to new Irish music on Phantom 105.2 Dublin and broadcasts every Wednesday night from 10pm – 12pm. Presented and produced by Cathal Funge, the show continually strives to support the local Irish independent music scene.

Levity Breaks create a sound that blends a driving melody with sweeping dynamics that move from whisper-quiet to huge anthemic highs creating a compelling alternative rock sound.

The band is fronted by Marty McLoughlin, whose vocals have been compared by some to those of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, alongside Jonny McGuinness on keyboards, Richie Lappin on guitar and Eamon Lenehan on drums who together form an energetic and commanding stage presence.

The band formed in mid 2010 and they have been writing, recording and working towards a single release and EP launch planned for 2011.

Between them, as individuals, they have previously toured with artists such as Snow Patrol, The Buzzcocks, British Sea Power, Iain Archer, The La's, Bell X1, The Frames, Nine Black Alps, The Ordinary Boys and have featured at prestigious festivals such as Oxegen, T-Vital and The Electric Picnic. Members of the band have also recorded sessions for Universal Publishing under producer Paul Cook of the legendary Sex Pistols.

Polar Patrol is a pro-active music publishing service for songwriters, artists and musicians set up by Jonny, Nathan and Gary from Snow Patrol which is run day to day by ex- Sony/ATV A&R Steve Farris. Our small team including recent addition Natalie Nissim offers a hands on approach to publishing with the aim of nurturing new songwriting talent and artist development.
