‘vii’ a live improvisation from March 8, 2024, performed at Doyenne’s Night, hosted by Ormside in London. 

Recorded in one take, 'vii' arrives ahead of the full 10-track LP release, SUSTAINED - a new collaborative dialogue between Ekaterina Bazhenova-Yamasaki and Maria Gorodeckaya. 

Drawing upon a collection of memories and discussions concerning rituals, yokyoku, birth, interpersonal challenges, spiritual connection, as well as themes of heartbeats and heartbreaks. The project’s original soundscape is composed of field recordings from China and Japan, integrated with analog live recordings created by Ekaterina and subsequently reworked and developed into an album through a collaborative process with Maria.
