The demo of the song was called "OIL TANK" because of how its sound design reminded the producer of an oil tank being hit. The song switches up a lot in the middle of it, with different elements coming in and out of the mix. However, it eventually ends with a meow, which could be the producer's cat telling the song to stop.

"GREED" is a pun to the word "grid", which can be interpreted as a metaphor for the material world and its trappings. song is from a tracker music compilation disc distributed by a magazine in ~1999 (i forgot the name). i tried to reproduce the way my burned copy sounded on a portable cd player i owned 10 years later(tempo&&, weird treble, skipping, volume inconsistencies) & internal / environmental inscription points
