What a gem. Langlais's voice was completely different from what I imagined!

Years ago, I acquire three 10inch paper thin radio transcriptions marked WAAT. I learned this was the radio station emanating from the historic Loews Jersey Theatre (where my daughter Heather was married). If you go downstairs there today you can see the now empty large radio studio room, and the big window where the control room was . This transcription for a shoe company seems to date from 1933 and features Erno Rapee's Orchestra and a singer named Irene Collins.
