Born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Former DJ now a father of three, just recently found out that creating music with headphones somehow magically silences all of the usual daily commotion. 😁 Now seriously... Alex Hertel, now also known under his alias Lexano, is a versatile DJ whose journey spans from melodic soundscapes to the raw intensity of underground techno. Starting out as Alex Hertel, he made a name for himself in the vibrant electronic scene around Mannheim, delivering hypnotic, driving, and melodic sets that captivated dancefloors in some of the region’s most iconic clubs and festivals.

Today, Alex continues to perform under both monikers. While Alex Hertel remains true to his roots in Melodic Techno and Melodic House, Lexano dives deep into the realms of Hardgroove, Hardtechno, and Hardtrance — bringing relentless energy and a darker, more intense vibe to his performances.

He’s a resident DJ at renowned event series such as Stromverschwendung, Format, and Release², and has played at respected venues and festivals including London Underground, Loft Club, Hafen 49 Festival, Pitlane Festival, Disco 2, Homebase, Basement, Zimmer, Connexion, Tanz der Bässe, Das Becken, Sonnentanz, Halle 01, and Colosseum Landau.

One of his standout moments was the release of his remix of Hans Zimmer’s Time, which gained him widespread attention and significantly expanded his reach.
