Welcome to the aural tapestry, "Locales." Fusing electronic rhythms with the essence of house and jungle, the latest concoction of label co-founder Lex Barlin invites you on this sojourn through the labyrinthine heart of Eora's underground. Playfully effervescent synths, trampolining basslines, and intricate percussion intertwine to create an EP truly meant for the dancefloor.

Inspired by the unique reverberations of diverse locales, Barlin harnesses convolution reverb to immortalize the acoustic signatures of his hometown's iconic spaces. Each track on "Locales" is a well-earned nod to these sanctuaries. 

"90s Violet" entwines countermelodies that insinuate playfulness without succumbing to cheer, eventually descending into a maelstrom of mounting tension. 

"Douglas Street" unveils synths that resemble machines conversing in an alien dialect—cryptic yet profoundly resonant in their emotive essence. 

"Club 77" guides you into the beloved club's hidden recesses, offering respite from the fervent dancefloor, before catapulting you back with a gelatinous and sinuous bassline. 

"St Peter's Tunnel" culminates the odyssey with tumultuous breakbeat jungle rhythms, concluding with '90s-era rave stabs that strike with the force and exhilaration of a runaway freight train.

But just as you get comfortable, Barlin’s skillful production draws you back into the mix, driven by a sinuous bassline that’s impossible to resist. What sets this track apart is Barlin’s meticulous attention to detail; many of the sounds and reverbs were captured live at 77 William St, Darlinghurst, the actual address of Club 77. This location-specific approach imbues the track with a genuine authenticity, making listeners feel as if they’re right there in the club."

“Nebula” is the 4th track in the collaborative album, “The Percs of Being,” by the newly formed Sydney-based duo, Lunakyn. Featuring in the forthcoming debut release on Dialectic Recordings in early May, “Nebula” is a solo work by one half of Lunakyn, Christian Guidone aka Guides. From the beginning, the listener is greeted by lush, cloud-like pads and metallic textures that rapidly evolve, rise, and culminate into a thumping rhythm. Time-stretched breakbeats and gooey synth lines reverberate through the skull, mapping out an aural journey reminiscent of a particularly potent hit of acid.
