Enoch Kwadwo Boachie-Ansah (born December 28) , known professionally as Guillotine Bars is a Rapper, Songwriter & Record Producer. Influenced by 90s Hip-hop/Boombap he started writing when he was 10 years old. His style of production is considered dark and gritty. His style is reminiscent of East Coast hip-hop of the 20th century, bringing back boom-bap of golden age hip-hop and old school hip-hop. He frequently uses sampling in his hip-hop instrumentals. His music is also influenced by jazz, however he's made many records with jazzy loops. Hip hop is simultaneously a new and old phenomenon; the importance of sampling tracks, beats, and basslines from old records to the art form means that much of the culture has revolved around the idea of updating classic recordings, attitudes, and experiences for the modern audience. Sampling older culture and reusing it in a new context or a new format is called "flipping" in hip hop culture. Hip hop music follows in the footsteps of earlier African-American rooted and Latino musical genres such as blues, jazz, rag-time, funk, salsa and disco to become one of the most practiced genres worldwide.

When hearing the phrase, “This  ain’t New York this the Bronx,” you may think of Kenny “Double k” Kirkland in the 1984 production of “Beat Street,” but music heads will all think of the productions and hits that continually come from Bronx-born Lex Boogie’s studio, Lexington Station. Lex Boogie From the Bronx, now living in ATL, has spent and devoted over 21 years learning and growing to perfect his craft. With influences all over the map, from all different eras, listening to the sounds of Barry White, RZA, Quincy Jones, Large Professor, Salaam Remi, Dr. Dre, Q-Tip and so much more he is capable of making music that connects to all young and old and guaranteed to  make a mark on future generations as well. With all of his knowledge, influences and experience is it no surprise that his extreme level of creativity has allowed him to successfully go from rapping in the streets of NY, to producing, to directing videos and more.  Thanks to both his talent and drive, Lex has been able to form his production company . On top of steadily building his diverse empire, he has vaults and vaults filled with original instrumentals and Hip-Hop beats (on their way to becoming) destined to become classics. He has a sound that will be able to put smiles on his idols faces as well as the faces of younger generations that look up to him. Besides the memorable melodies and massive drum beats that will continue to play in your head long after the song is over, the main characteristic that seems to bridge the two gaps of young and old has to be the signature soul the Boogie laces everything he touches with. With this unique and inspired sound, he is able to bring the two worlds together.  Growing up in the South Bronx with everything from Hip-Hop to Meringue pouring out of his windows into the streets, and vice versa, Lex’s Puerto Rican decent and African-American influences sparked something in him that was only complemented by his traveling Latin Musician grandfather.  Having such a diverse, entertaining and music-infused childhood only heightened his love, interest and passion for music. Everything from Lex’s Puerto Rican roots, musical grandparents, and various influences to his Bronx surroundings can all be heard in his music today.    Boogie had his first opportunity to have his work widely heard shortly after moving to Atlanta in 1997. He has also add receiving Executive Producer credits completed several projects for signed and unsigned artist on the Underground Circuit to his accolades. After the tragic loss of his of his studio to a fire in 2007, the super producer went into overdrive. He was savvy enough to attract the likes of both marketing and ad agencies trying to appeal to the Hip-Hop enthusiasts around the world. Although Lex has not strayed away from producing, he has spread out and leant his talents to commercials, websites, promotional agencies and the advertising sector of music as a whole.    Thanks to his newfound connections, Lex has been able to help aid and develop aspiring artist and raw talent coming up. He has been able to educate, expand audiences, broaden horizons and much more for not only himself but the many others he supports, all while extending his portfolio at the same time. Developing, crafting and perfecting his many crafts has helped him work with artist like Broady Champs, MarQ Spekt, Vordul Mega, Billy Woods, Goldi Gold, Boog Brown  Working Class Music Group and a list of so many more.  Over the past 21+ years  Hard work, having an open mind and a humble heart has  been Lex’s strengths in staying this business but, his devotion, business savvy, talent and heart and proven to be this Jack of All Trades key to success.
