Known for his hard-bodied raps and collaborations with his Iron Galaxy Clik cohort, Cannibal Ox, New York’s Realio Sparkzwell showcases his producer chops and penchant for slick wordplay on his brand-new EP, ‘The Main Ingredient.’

What makes the project particularly compelling is its juxtaposition of laid back and rugged, a quality that the Syracuse native captured perfectly with his approach. As he tells it, “This EP is an art piece, a tribute to one of the greatest R&B/soul groups ever—‘The Main Ingredient.’” With their chopped-up classics as his backdrop, Sparkzwell was free to “spit some streetwise lyrical wizardry with meaning and esoteric insight,” he said.

The result is a quick-hitting EP that comes to life thanks to its well-defined vision. Sparkzwell complements his source material with bars reminiscent of his favorite artists and collaborators, who have included the late Sean Price, Big Noyd, and Copywrite. He carries a similarly dark sense of humor too, which you can hear in the ‘Pineapple Express’-sampling “Purple Grimace” and standout cut “Questions.”

‘The Main Ingredient’ also serves as a reintroduction of sorts to Sparkzwell, a journeyman emcee who made waves under his previous monikers (REALZ and iRealz). Its release also marks his inaugural project as a member of the Gold Chain Military/Poison Ring Regime (Planet Asia, Killa Kali, and others) and serves as a precursor to his forthcoming full length projects; ‘The Top Emblem’ and ‘Bloody Luciano.’

‘The Main Ingredient’ is now available through all major digital retailers and streaming outlets via 19G7 Publishing Company.

Phlow wraps up 2017 with her bravado laced effort titled "Pre Flux Freestyles". A 3 minute long medley made up of random verses she has crafted over the years.  Starting off with "Hennessy", she shows her true amazonian nature over the classic "Don't look any further" backdrop, she then switches to a laid back flow on a smoothed out version of  Mobb Deep's "Shook ones" before wrapping it up with a slight nod to Jigga over the "Feeling It" sample. The medley serves as a reminder to everyone not to sleep on her skillset.

"Pre Flux Freestyles" is a free one off track while she preps her debut Lp "Flux" for next year. A new single/video is expected to drop in early 2018. She is also working on several collaborations with surprise artists from Canada and the States.

In the 1st half of 2018, Wu-Tang Clan fans worldwide were hopeful that the previous sale of the one of a kind Wu-Tang album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, would change hands from the currently incarcerated owner Martin Shkreli to Wu-Tang affiliate Matthew “M80” Markoff who would release it freely to the public--- to be appreciated by all. In light of Markoff’s 1 million dollar offer, the sale never came to fruition and Markoff like most Wu-Tang fans simply wrote off the notion of the one of a kind album and any chance at ever being able to hear it after that. 

It’s a good thing that Ghostface is a man of the people! Wu-Tang Clan’s own Ghostface Killah will release his new studio album, The Lost Tapes, alongside legendary underground producer Big Ghost on 10-5-18. The collective goal was to bring fans back to the Ironman/Supreme Clientele/Cuban Linx Era sound. Both Ghost’s set out to revive that feeling, update it for 2018 and create another certified Wu-Tang Banger!

The Lost Tapes also features an All-Star Line-Up including; Snoop Dogg, E-40, Big Daddy Kane, Raekwon, Masta Killa, Cappadonna Killah Priest, Sheek Louch, Ras Kass, Michael Rapaport and more.  

Today, Ghostface releases the projects new single, “Done It Again,” via an exclusive premiere with Complex.  Every great Ghostface album has at least one track that shows love to the divine beauty of the feminine species.  The even greater ones show love to the pioneers of the culture.  “Done It Again” happens to do both.

When hearing the phrase, “This  ain’t New York this the Bronx,” you may think of Kenny “Double k” Kirkland in the 1984 production of “Beat Street,” but music heads will all think of the productions and hits that continually come from Bronx-born Lex Boogie’s studio, Lexington Station. Lex Boogie From the Bronx, now living in ATL, has spent and devoted over 21 years learning and growing to perfect his craft. With influences all over the map, from all different eras, listening to the sounds of Barry White, RZA, Quincy Jones, Large Professor, Salaam Remi, Dr. Dre, Q-Tip and so much more he is capable of making music that connects to all young and old and guaranteed to  make a mark on future generations as well. With all of his knowledge, influences and experience is it no surprise that his extreme level of creativity has allowed him to successfully go from rapping in the streets of NY, to producing, to directing videos and more.  Thanks to both his talent and drive, Lex has been able to form his production company . On top of steadily building his diverse empire, he has vaults and vaults filled with original instrumentals and Hip-Hop beats (on their way to becoming) destined to become classics. He has a sound that will be able to put smiles on his idols faces as well as the faces of younger generations that look up to him. Besides the memorable melodies and massive drum beats that will continue to play in your head long after the song is over, the main characteristic that seems to bridge the two gaps of young and old has to be the signature soul the Boogie laces everything he touches with. With this unique and inspired sound, he is able to bring the two worlds together.  Growing up in the South Bronx with everything from Hip-Hop to Meringue pouring out of his windows into the streets, and vice versa, Lex’s Puerto Rican decent and African-American influences sparked something in him that was only complemented by his traveling Latin Musician grandfather.  Having such a diverse, entertaining and music-infused childhood only heightened his love, interest and passion for music. Everything from Lex’s Puerto Rican roots, musical grandparents, and various influences to his Bronx surroundings can all be heard in his music today.    Boogie had his first opportunity to have his work widely heard shortly after moving to Atlanta in 1997. He has also add receiving Executive Producer credits completed several projects for signed and unsigned artist on the Underground Circuit to his accolades. After the tragic loss of his of his studio to a fire in 2007, the super producer went into overdrive. He was savvy enough to attract the likes of both marketing and ad agencies trying to appeal to the Hip-Hop enthusiasts around the world. Although Lex has not strayed away from producing, he has spread out and leant his talents to commercials, websites, promotional agencies and the advertising sector of music as a whole.    Thanks to his newfound connections, Lex has been able to help aid and develop aspiring artist and raw talent coming up. He has been able to educate, expand audiences, broaden horizons and much more for not only himself but the many others he supports, all while extending his portfolio at the same time. Developing, crafting and perfecting his many crafts has helped him work with artist like Broady Champs, MarQ Spekt, Vordul Mega, Billy Woods, Goldi Gold, Boog Brown  Working Class Music Group and a list of so many more.
