Wyrd (Previously Wavy Gravy) is the DJ/Production alias of Matt Oppermann from Stellenbosch, South Africa, After spending a decade immersing himself in the local electronic music scene, traversing multiple genres and subgenres and developing a listeners ear for the music, he found the genre's that called to him most in IDM, Glitch Hop, Drum n Bass and Psytrance.

Matt likes understated, nuanced elements in his music selections, blurring genre boundaries and finding niche tracks that incorporate unusual elements and sound design that would not be commonplace within the genre.

Formed in 1999 in Wellington, New Zealand our sound draws inspiration from almost every part of the black music lexicon. Glass Animals are a Grammy and BRIT-nominated British band whose genre-blending sound and cult-like fandom have made them one of the most exciting acts in global pop. Their third album Dreamland became a cultural multi-platinum selling phenomenon and spawned Heat Waves, the record-breaking single that topped charts worldwide and made history as the first UK band to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in nearly 30 years. Last year, the band released their fourth critically acclaimed album I Love You So F**ing Much, a sci-fi-infused odyssey about love, connection, and what it means to feel real in a surreal world. It arrived alongside a 44-date world tour that included headlining The O2 Arena in London and Madison Square Gardens in New York.
