Ambitieux  - Way Out (feat. DJ Netik prod. Grimey Beatz) CRACK MUZIK 2006

 Ambitieux is a rap group based in Rennes (Brittany, France ), active since 2000. Composed by rappers Nito and Lexxcoop, the duo is known for its asthonishing blend of street hip-hop mixed with a large panel of sounds from rock samples to electro and grime. Essence and universe of the group Ambitieux collects its inspiration thru diverse musical breeds from reggae to electro. According to them, music is a passion which is transformed into a way of life. The formation of the group was original: the two m.c.'s reunion happened at a show given to disadvantaged youth, in their hometown, back in 1999. The image that they reflect is essential, youngsters identify and recognize themselves in the ambition, strengh, temper showcased on stages and in their songs. Far from following the french rap dramaturgy, they supply their production with flows, while keeping the same concerns as the people that surrounds them and what they represent. Biography / Discography In 2000, their first recorded track was named "Fuck The Boycott", featuring DJ Netik (before he went DMC world champion) and appeared on a very famous french underground mix-tape. Immediatly active, the new group proves its value shwoing off originality and innovativation (Nito and Lexx were already raping over a crunk beat on DJ Deheb's producer-tape the same year). 2001 is the birth of "Menace Fantôme" collective, composed by the two m.c.'s allongside Serial Mc's, DJ Steed,DJ Deheb, hip-hop dance crews SBC and Rencontre du troisième style whom was including three breakdance world champions . From then, many events and compilation discs followed or got created around the group, getting more and more word-to-mouth fame none teh less while they were recording their first album some departures in the staff occured. The next year, the "Lexxfilez" mix-tape will feature Ambitieux on half of the tracklist. Since 2006, Ambitieux appears on more and more substantial national and international projects, from french top pioneer dj poska's "Special Province", to Ghislain Poirier's album distributed worldwide by Ninja Tunes (notice the radio rotation of "Ladies & Gentlemen", throughout the whole globe). The group's hard work during the following years had them recording numerous tracks and featurings on different albums or mix-tapes earning them a little exposure beyond France's borders, opening for UK Grime heavyweights in Berlin in 2006. Records collabos kept on going (Brixx, Percubaba, La Spirale, Rouge à Lèvres and a grime project with Spectro, Fleuve Noir), the group's first underground hit "Légendaire" managed to be heard through french the rap scene to get his way to national commercial radio stations like SKYROCK. They are currently finalizing their first album "Dernier Carat" ("Last carat"), which is a french expression meaning "Deadline". Announced collaborations on it are : Montreal's Ghislain Poirier, triple DMC world champion DJ Netik , Sheffield's Rogue State,Al Peco, LeJad, DJ Troubl', Aetoms, Grimey Beats, Absurd and many more.
