Another one from our friends at @embracepastel! This week’s LGCY FM episode features @CLVRTY from Sacramento, CA with his heavy, dubstep, trap and jersey guest mix. 

“Hi everyone! My name is Richard (CLVRTY) and I'm from Sacramento. CA. I am a part of the Pastel Collective. I mostly mix Dubstep, Trap, and Jersey... and lately some house. I am currently studying to become a mental health therapist. Things I enjoy doing outside of music include eating, powerlifting, gaming, and kicking it with friends.

For this mix, I wanted to create something fun...something with that "lets fucking go" type of energy haha. The idea was to create something with that old school nostalgic trap horn type of sound with some high energy jersey, and some hard hitting dubstep/bass.  The mix includes a lot of my favorite bangers and edits, along with my own personal double/trip drops and edits. I hope y'all enjoy the mix... bump this shit at a pregame before an event or when you're about to hit a PR at the gym! Much love! <3”

LGCY FM S3 E35: CLVRTY (Dubstep, Trap, Jersey Mix)

This week’s episode of LGCY FM, we present to you RE!GN, @reign_music023, from Sacramento, California! Her mix will include trap, raw style/hard trap, a blend of dubstep and future bass at the end of the mix.

From May 2020 to May 2021, RE!GN was the first female resident DJ from the US on Da Hub Radio UK, introducing to the airwaves her profound love for heavy trap and bass elements in electronic music. Raised in Ewa Beach, HI, and currently in Northern California, she is refining how she wants to express her emotions through her original productions, and is currently a Production Assistant for Sacramento-based events company, “Pastel.”

“Fun fact: before I got into producing and djing EDM, I was a light show artist with LED gloves and did a few collabs with EmazingLights and Futuristic Lights! 

With this mix I wanted to show the different styles of trap that I really enjoy. Most of this mix in the beginning was me revisiting my favorite songs from when I first started to explore trap years ago, then it goes into me slowly introducing the new elements of trap that I currently like. Still diving into the subgenre of hard/raw style trap; definitely want to explore that more.

I am a big fan of Ekali’s Awakening Mixes, so I tried to emulate his emotional pacing. RL Grime, Boombox Cartel, and ARMNHMR are all artists who know how to blend many different moods of bass and that’s what I was going for!”
