You've done a lot of work and this piece finally talks to the right part of my brain. IMHO, more veriety in stereo placement would help differentiate main voices from supportive ones. ☺

doodle, doodle, dooooodlidoodle... LOL... sorry. I believe it might be good for you to consider to focus a bit. Seems like you've got chops to do the right stuff, if you calm down, consider the listener and their longing for orientation.

...besides, it seems like you have some kind of brickwall EQ, keeping the whole thing inside 800Hz and 12Khz or so, haha. Strange. Headpones only?

I'm 100% sure you can do a heck of a lot better and I'm pretty much even expecting it. That track flickers your potential, but can't do it justice. You've got the stuff, though! Please, keep at it and don't be mad at me for being a bit harsh. :o\

Sorry, I have a really hard time getting into this. There are some real nice melodies and parts but to me it all seems like a mess. First of all the sound is constantly noisy which makes it hard on the ears and detracts from the actual music. Second all melodic lines seem to go into each other with some nasty dissonances as result. Even when you take it down there doesn't seem to be enough breathing room. If noisy was your goal, that's alright, just not very enjoyable to me. Otherwise I'd recommend, when doing FM to be very careful with how much modulation you apply to the carriers, especially when using anything other than sines. Work with envelopes on the modulators to give your sounds a nice attack without the sustain being overbearingly noisy. Again, some cool parts and good melodies but the presentation just doesn't work for me.

Lots of great parts in here I think, but the production is working a little against it.

If "Sirius" is any indication, Cityzen is on the verge of something huge and previously unimagined, and all the world can do is wait. Armed with his sparkling glasses and affinity for the color red, Cityzen brings to life a crossover of old and new that will become the unique sound of the next generation.

The mysterious artist known as Cityzen just dropped an equally-curiously named new track, "Unicorns on a Rocket Launcher," on R3HAB's CYB3RPVNK imprint. After the first listen, you'll quickly realize how suiting the title is: with bouncy, driving basslines, UK-garage and g-house influences coupled with a catchy vocal riff, one can almost imagine explosions of technicolor sparkles going off during its undulating drops. "Unicorns on a Rocket Launcher" is perhaps Cityzen's most festival and club-ready track to date. It follows his prior releases "Sirius" and "Rave Tech Repeat," released this year on CYB3RPVNK, which was the first place this time-bending artist appeared to anchor himself in this dimension. Cityzen seems to always keep the world guessing as to his next move, so stay tuned to find out what he comes up with next.
