LHP is the solo project of Dave Webb. Originally a guitarist, he began using a drum machine as a metronome and discovered that programming beats was far more fun than playing in a thrash metal band. This led not only to the making of bangin' 303 606 acid techno but also experimenting with low speed DJing at Zero Gravity, Club Dog and Megadog events. On discovering the joys of sampling and sequencing with an SU10 and Atari ST his music became increasingly breakbeat orientated; about 8 years ago he purchased his first PC and hasn't looked back.

Today his studio consists of a portable SD player, a stereo microphone and a PC running sample manipulation and sequencing software. He uses only found sounds recorded in the field, computer generated frequencies and, more recently, self played and recorded guitar and drum sounds. Sometimes the tunes evolve from an initial loop which then dictates the tempo and feel of the track. Sometimes they grow from a concept - maybe a muse on the sonic possibilities of the periodic table. And sometimes they just germinate from a beat seed.

THE WIRED LAB is an artist led organisation evolving interdisciplinary art practices in rural Australia. We create opportunities for the research, production and presentation of projects that connect international and local artists with communities in new ways. Our curated programs and projects involve artists working from a regional context whilst producing outcomes of local and global relevance. Our activities range from skills development for young people, seniors, emerging and mid career artists, to the creation, presentation, publication and promotion of new works and major live arts projects. "Optic Echo Presents" began on the Portland Radio Authority back in 2007 stemming from my (Mike's) long obsession with vinyl.  I tend to stay in the ambient - experimental - downtempo - modern classical area.  Although my sets are all wax,  the guest mixes here tend to be multimedia and genres of all sorts.  The PRA merged into XRAY.FM in Sept of 2014.

My 33 1/3 series book about the Aphex Twin album Selected Ambient Works Volume II was published in 2014. The book was one of the top 5 bestselling titles for the calendar year, and in 2015 was ranked by Pitchfork as one of the "33 best" of the 100-plus books in the 33 1/3 series. It has subsequently been translated into Japanese (2019) and Spanish (2018)

Since 2012 I have moderated the Disquiet Junto group, which began on SoundCloud. More at disquiet.com/junto.

Bureau B is a Hamburg based label which releases past and future classics unearthed from genres including (but not limited to) electronica, avant-garde, Kraut(rock) – a colourful spectrum of diverse, yet contigiuous musical genres. Applying the expertise deployed in trawling the archives, Bureau B has gone on to champion new and contemporary acts with similar musical sensibilities to their pioneering antecedents.

Schneider TM is a multidimensional music project by Dirk Dresselhaus that oscillates extensively between experimental electronic avant-pop and rather abstract and improvisational material, occasionally bringing these and other seemingly opposing elements together.

Since the mid 90s he released albums on labels like City Slang / Mute, Bureau B, Editions Mego or Karlrecords under this moniker, including singles like ‘Reality Check’, ‘Frogtoise’ or a cover version of a song by The Smiths called ‘The Light 3000’, a collaboration with Kptmichigan that was hugely acclaimed by the alternative media (like John Peel, The Wire etc.) and have made him been credited as one of the main innovators of a music genre called Indietronica.

Solo or as group, Schneider TM has performed a couple of hundreds live concerts around the globe including renowned international festivals like CTM (Berlin), Sonar (Barcelona, Rome, Tokyo), Mutek (Montreal, Mexico City), Roskilde-Festival (DK), Hultsfred Festival (Hultsfred), Frieze Art Fair (London), Phonem Festival (Istanbul), Les Siestes Électroniques (Toulouse), Melt Festival (Gräfenhainichen), Midi Festival (Hyéres), Motomix Festival (Sao Paolo), Todaysart Festival (Den Haag), Dark Mofo (Hobart) and others.

Dirk Dresselhaus’ rather unusual musical methods like e.g. the combination of electroacoustic guitars with modular electronics have practically led him to explore unknown territory on each new release, solo or in diverse short- and long-term collaborations and projects with the likes of Ilpo Väisänen (die Angel, ex-Pan sonic), Zappi W Diermaier (Faust), Reinhold Friedl (zeitkratzer), Oren Ambarchi, Hildur Guðnadóttir, BJ Nilsen, Lucio Capece, Elena Poulou (ex-The Fall), Damo Suzuki (ex-Can), John Duncan (LAFMS), Conrad Schnitzler, Jochen Arbeit & Andrew Unruh (Einstürzende Neubauten) as well as to numerous works in the field of film music, radio plays, (performance-) theater, contemporary dance and general studio production.
