Xiao’s music is significantly influenced by Michelle Branch an acoustic guitar-playing artist from Arizona and the iconic Sting. Her admiration on Michelle’s soulful and down-to-earth compositions gave Xiao’s music a distinguished laidback, earthy sense while Sting’s diverse sound gave her an idea to include instruments such as woodblocks, oodoo and tabla drums to give it an ethnic feel.
