Liam's Top Tracks

Previously known as 'Lovely Stuff' I finally named it but I still think it could be better, (the song that is!) but here it is again with the lead parts revisited, the last version I recorded was well below standard and I've been meaning to re-do it for a while so here we go.  Probably the best version so far but i'm still not totally satisfied with it. What do you think?

A melodic little thing I had for a while, wanted to develop further but never got further than this, still nice, played with a capo on the 4th I think... 

Starlit Cavern

This is the Full version of Subjugator, the intro heard here is actually what was originally the basis for the whole song, I had it very planned out in my head how I wanted this song to sound and I'm really happy with it.  Its my heaviest track so far, fast riffs and dual lead guitars to compliment, I think the intro gives it a nice contrast and this is how I originally intended for the song to be structured, so it seemed fitting to let everyone hear the full version. Subjugator (extended Intro & Re - Mixed)

I've just revisited this song because I started to dislike the drums in the original version, took a suggestion to pump them up a bit as well but also changed them slightly and I think it sounds much better.

In Plain Sight (Re-Edit)

A boogie Quo style song loosely based on the song 'Spinning Wheel Blues' from 1970's 'Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon' Album.  

Wheel Spin

This is a new recording of an old song I originally recorded perhaps 2 years ago, the original version is Take 38 which is still on my soundcloud. This seems to be one of my more popular songs. I've recently upgraded my recording equipment and hopefully you'll agree this sounds a bit better than the original.

Life of a King

When I name my songs I listen back to them and close my eyes and try to let the music create some kind of image in my mind... When I listen back to this song it makes me think of a pilot flying a plane in WW2 deeply involved in a Dog fight in the sky. A fast paced kill or be killed situation. I think the song fits that image quite well.

The Battle of The Broken

This track is based around a nice chord sequence, it's fairly simple although I use quite a few variations so theres quite a lot going on but it all come together really nicely and although it didn't turn out as originally planned I'm very pleased with this recording.

Undefeated

Inspired almost certainly by Status Quo, could you tell? 
I've tried to be experimental... I've done some lead guitar work and included a key change.  As with a few other songs it was not written before recording, I did a couple of takes on rhythm and lead and then worked a bit of magic putting the best bits together, here it is...
