My first topical song. A bridge is a very powerful metaphor for connecting, and one finds the term in such diverse places as electronics, political and religious discourse, and, unsurprisingly, popular song.

My love Leslie L Randall was co-principal investigator for the Aberdeen Area (now Northern Plains) Indian Health Service Infant Mortality Study in the 1990s. At the conclusion of the study we wrote this song in honor of the families who participated in the research. The lyrics were taken directly from their words of grief and loss.
