Matts’ music, which is closest in sound to the Indie Folk genre, has been created completely independently by him.  All the sounds you will hear have been created on a semi acoustic guitar, a key board and a bashed up old bass guitar. They were recorded at his home on a portable 4 track digital recorder. Only two other people feature in his album: his brother, Andy, on bass and his wife, Sarah, with occasional backing vocal. Matt draws his musical influences from contemporary artists such as Damian Rice, Elbow, Stephen Fretwell, Bon Iver, Badly Drawn Boy and The Macabees. Also from more time honoured musical icons such as Bob Dillon and Jeff Buckley.
