We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things - the Jason Mraz Album this song is off of - will forever be one of my favorites. To me that record will always sound like driving up to my grandfathers ranch with my friends when we were 16 and life was in one of its fleeting homeostases of absolute perfection.  This song is kinda like the shade that's on the end of those kind of eras, when things are falling a part bit by bit, but you can't help but to love them all the more because of it. As a song it wasn't a particularly hard hitter for me until I listened to the Raining Jane version. The stripped down simplicity of it just destroyed me, and I knew it had to become part of my arsenal.
 
I once drunkenly played this song to some people at the tail end of a party and made a few girls cry. That was pretty cool.

Beautiful Mess (Live Cover)

When I first heard this song done live, I told myself I would learn all of it if I ever got a loop pedal. I got a loop pedal. (an RC-30 for any who care to know)

Of all the songs I cover this one has an especially large amount of things I can relate to - from trying to be an artist who writes his own music and words, to living on a couch, and everything in between. When I do play it there's very little I'm faking and I'll hopefully be able to write and play something of my own that's this great one day.

I did a video to this as well, so that's pretty exciting. My friend is editing that right now, because all parties can benefit from trade and specialization (this Economic degree WILL be used god dammit)

Raw energy and passion is the fuel behind the driving sound of Liam Kyle Cahill. There are few acoustic artists who can hold a candle to his powerful performances, contained within it whip-smart lyrics and earnest guitar chops. Liam's 3rd studio effort Four Leaf Clover (2016) is his most rounded and mature to date.

No stranger to the road, Liam quit his day job as an exploration geologist to pursue a full time career in music.
