This piece started out life as a fairly straight techno track. I wasn't happy with the direction it was taking, so I abstracted it into something more ambient and experimental.

This is a quick sound sketch of an old tree. I was attempting to capture an imagined time and place at the foot of an ancient oak. 

The sounds include piano, cello, some sampled horns and wood creaks, and a close recording of a beanbag to create the impression of wind through leaves.

The composition is generative and was performed live with some gestural controls.
