Gustaff returns to Black Seven Music this February with an upbeat and groove-laced two-track EP, featuring a remix from the ever-talented Alessandro Diruggiero.



A firm favourite at Black Seven HQ, Spanish artist Gustaff is synonymous with all things rolling Tech. Renowned for percussive-focused terrace-tearing cuts, Gustaff brings more of his unmistakable sonic signature back to the label. Following up on his impressive feature on our winter VA in December 2021, he also enlists the stellar services of Alessandro Diruggiero for an emphatic remix on the b-side.



Opening the release, ‘Music On 4 Life’ provides a spirited start with feel-good vibes from end to end. Punchy drum work bounces off the pop and ripple of crisp percs whilst splashes of melody progressively flood the mix. Dreamy pads and bright arps fill the bridges along with a subtle vocal layer before jumping straight back into the groove.



‘EKLA’ comes next, with a stripped-back feel and plenty of swing. An ensemble of capable kicks pulsate along to rhythmic a sub-bassline whilst synth stabs add even more cadence to the track. A rough and ready female vocal wraps the record in attitude, perfectly matching the weight of its peak-time energy - and then some.



The release comes to a head with Alessandro Diruggiero’s remix of ‘EKLA’, which dives even deeper. Driving drums and sizzling percs usher you along whilst subtle harmonies rise out of a throbbing bed of low frequencies. A continuous ebb and flow of peaks and climaxes aimed solely at packed dancefloors, worthy club spaces and momentous sound systems.
