It seems the self perception of being boring is something that is very painful to folks. In some ways, it is encouraging that people are self aware enough to seek help.

Two characteristics of boring people are  that they tend to be tedious and passive during group interactions. The tediousness occurs , especially when they  recount their experiences. They speak with a slow rate of speech and tend to include too many extraneous details that add nothing to the story.
