When you have been running a label as long as we have, it occasionally happens that you have releases up the pipeline which take ages to be released. The remix EP for Patrick Chardronnet’s 2013 hit "All I Got“ is such a case. Already planned for more than a year ago, it has taken this long to be ready for release. But, as good things sometimes simply need time, we think it was well worth the wait and are now more than happy with the result: Four remixes in total, three for "All I Got“ and one for "Random Beauty“, make the release complete, now.

We kick off with the Audiofy Hook Remix, a characteristic interpretation for the super simpatico and world-traveling DJ-duo and long-time friends of Connaisseur. Super tripping, massively grooving and big in love of details. Thank you boys!

Next up is man of the moment Musumeci. His take on "All I Got“ is a super catchy pearl in his own distinctive arp-driven style with touching and tender melodies. A tune for your heart and soul which we are sure will be a regular in many sets in the next months.
The third and last version of "All I Got“ is by German rising star Schlepp Geist, who just had a strong open air track with "Tura“ on our summer V.A. “BBQ Techno 5”. His interpretation, screaming "RAVE ALERT", will destroy dance foors. Massive alarm sounds and a demanding groove make this tune a peaktime guarantor.

The fourth and last track is a remix for "Random Beauty“, the timeless b-side of the original release, which we consider one of the best tracks Patrick Chardronnet has ever have made. Responsible for the remix here is Anthony Middleton, one half of Audiofy and the amazing US act Dance Spirit, well known for their releases on Audiofy’s sublime Supernature label.Their remix is a pure trip taking you far away. Their sensitive dealing with the parts shows their big respect towards the original work. A special track for a special moment.

Cologne-centric dynamic duo Danito & Athina bring their fresh, soul-inspired production style into play on their newest release for LMF. ‘Feelings’ commences as a winding groove, adding sequence upon sequence of tense chunks on a backdrop of dramatic synths paired with a throbbing bassline. Spiralling on, it reaches a nervous and dance-inducing apex that is only partially relieved, keeping feet moving. The second track dives even further into labyrinthian tech explorations. Starting off with a subdued groove, ‘Hyperion’ progresses into an immersive realm by the way of pulsating drums and psychedelic synths. Berliner Tony Casanova is enlisted for the remix, providing a collateral version of ‘Feelings’. Dotted with relentless bell loopsthat evoke a dark and melancholic atmosphere, the reinterpretation carries on minimal elements from the initial structure. Headed by a Carioca who was blessed with the name of
his own hometown, MooDisco contains a 3-track bomb from Leo Janeiro with DOC label boss Gui Boratto and a very special remix by French act Rodriguez Jr.  

This could just be a happy coincidence, where it’s not for the fact that Leo’s trajectory made him a protagonist of the electronic music scene in his hometown, Rio de Janeiro.  He built a career dedicated to music. In a city with so many daytime attractions, it is the night and electronic music that has been blessed with his talent.  He has compiled an impressive list of residencies and performances globally. Known as one of the ambassadors for Brazilian electronic music, Leo has the ability to combine originality with a universal language. Just like his hometown.

On this limited edition vinyl and digital release, Leo Janeiro, Gui Boratto and Rodriguez Jr. present a serious track sequence of techno and house beats. Each artist has kept its own trademark.  ”I had a lot of ideas and one of them was to have a remix by an artist that I admire, respect and have a personal relationship”, says Leo Janeiro.

Rodriguez Jr. (Oliver Mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for MooDisco.  He is the one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s label. Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains.  A perfect blend for this project.

MoodDisco is a combination of artists and friends on the move. They are tireless in enthusiasm and are bursting with new tunes and projects.
