Already a staple name in the deep house scene as half of Kruse & Nurnberg, Florian Kruse steps into the spotlight with his solo project. Usually known for a more polished deep house approach, Beats & Error strays from the sound youd usually expect and focuses more on the raw side of techno gripped house beats. After a short and sweet buildup, the title track progresses into a luscious, dance inducing piece. The hypnosis continues after breakdown time, an attribute thats also the base of Niko Schwinds darker makeover. Darkland leads us onto a further trail of deep and, obviously enough, darker sounds, through ominous vocals set to nervous synths. Bjoern Stoerig is in charge of the remix, offering a more cinematic take on the track.

Yousef - DHA Winter Social Podcast

In his home country of Brazil they don't come much bigger than Gabe. Just one look at his social media stats will confirm an artist at the top of his game (160K FB Likes and 92K Soundcloud followers) , and his latest project, Gabe Live, has been a long anticipated shift in his career. Acquiring an enviable booty of hardware -samplers, a collection of keyboard and a small audio laboratory designed specifically for touring- Gabe has upped the ante when it comes to the live arena.

In his home country of Brasil, Gabe has played at festivals like Dream Valley, XXXperience, Tribe, and clubs like Field, Warung, D-Edge, and have guested at the likes of Eclipse, Rainbow Serpent and Ageha amongst many more. His renowned Wrecked Machine project saw him experiment with his passion for psy-trance, releasing two albums under that moniker. Receiving support from the upper echelon of tastemakers including Sasha, Solomun, H.O.S.H. and John Digweed, Gabe delivers music that appeals to fans globally. Recently announced as one of the acts at Tomorrowland Brazil in April, Gabe will also be making his way to Australia for a whirlwind tour which includes a slot at the CHI WOW WAH TOWN festival near Melbourne. In the meantime, we have been lucky enough to secure a mix from Gabe for  Balance Selections podcast which should ensure his reputation as one of the world's best stay in tact.

Mainz rooted duo Matchy and Bott serve up three dancefloor heaters for their “Battle Boii” EP.
A traveling bassline opens up the eponymous track, while dramatic synth leads slowly unfold into a dreamy, laid back melody. The ascending groove is slow paced yet intricate, constructing a perfect setting for subtle transitions. On the other side of the melodic spectrum, Ocean surprises with a juxtaposition of gloom and wandering indie vocals. Playful harmonic keys alternate dark synths, forming a looming, ever-approaching backdrop that’s a perfect tension builder. Enrolled for the remix, Lars Moston injects more bass into Ocean’s already high-strung framework. Distorting the original vocals and pairing them with equally contorted synths, the track comes as a powerful floor mover that’s equally dancy as the original.

Cologne-centric dynamic duo Danito & Athina bring their fresh, soul-inspired production style into play on their newest release for LMF. ‘Feelings’ commences as a winding groove, adding sequence upon sequence of tense chunks on a backdrop of dramatic synths paired with a throbbing bassline. Spiralling on, it reaches a nervous and dance-inducing apex that is only partially relieved, keeping feet moving. The second track dives even further into labyrinthian tech explorations. Starting off with a subdued groove, ‘Hyperion’ progresses into an immersive realm by the way of pulsating drums and psychedelic synths. Berliner Tony Casanova is enlisted for the remix, providing a collateral version of ‘Feelings’. Dotted with relentless bell loopsthat evoke a dark and melancholic atmosphere, the reinterpretation carries on minimal elements from the initial structure. Granite kicks layered with sparse distorted vocals create an unfamiliar yet highly mesmerizing groove with late night appeal, rounding off the release on a deep note.
