Montreal-based Frenchman Olivier Alary is a highly talented composer, who has previously collaborated with Bjork. Having released albums on FatCat and Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label under the lushly-orchestrated, experimental pop guise of Ensemble, over the past five or six years Olivier has moved away from that song-based project to focus on composing material for a stream of films and artistic collaborations. In June 2016 Olivier signed to 130701, and this album – a compilation of film soundtrack work - marks his debut under his own name.

Mimicof "Love Control" ft. hprizm is a cut from '»sichten« vol.1' a compilation from Raster Noton out on September 21st. The Raster label invites friends and colleagues to present music that tends to be out of the focus of current media channels. For the first edition, they’ve invited musician, composer and video artist Frank Bretschneider, whose picked six artists working in multi-textured minimal sounds. MimiCof is the solo project of Midori Hiran in which she explores the realm of experimental music and detailed rhythmic patterns, combined with an idea of drawing melodic shapes and harmonies.
The track premiered on today's episode of Peak Time, live from Funkhaus Berlin, for RBMA20.

We are excited to welcome young composer Noémi Büchi to the Light of Other Days roster. 

Her debut Ep «Matière» is the result of an extensive study with a modular synthesizer as her instrument of choice. Apart from being a student of contemporary composition and listening to tons of music, Noémi finds most of her inspiration in long nature walks through nearby forests and foggy hills situated close to her bedroom studio. 

In her music she leads the listener safely through deep paths of complex rhythms and otherworldly sounds. Her awareness of timbre nuance and harmonic diversity are constantly matched with her ability to produce fresh and revealing arrangements. 

«Matière» is an exciting excerpt from the works and life of a very 
talented young artist with a bright future ahead.
