This song aims to break down the walls we hold inside with melody and fly free from the worries and thoughts that break us down. Celebration Day Solo - Led Zeppelin

This is the first single from mine and Robert Voxx’s upcoming “Collisions” EP.  

This song was an incredible journey for both of us.  

Robert wrote the lyrics as essentially a letter to his late brother, who he tragically lost to suicide.

Channelling all of his grief; all of his sadness; all of his anger…eventually Robert reached a place of acceptance and forgiveness, coming to terms with this immense tragedy, finally being able to move on; finally being able to forgive his brother for what he did.  

In composing/producing this track, I wanted to try and mirror the journey of Robert’s lyrics—as well as his actual experience—doing my best to try and capture the emotional arc he took while dealing with such an unbelievable tragedy.  

And although initially the song is about confusion, grief and anger, ultimately, it becomes a song about hope and resilience; about the human capacity for healing; about overcoming even the most terrible of circumstances.

Life goes on whether we like it or not, and the only way to overcome something that has broken your heart is to keep moving forward.  Things will—and always do—eventually get better.
