Afro House Mix 2018

'Play Fair' is the upcoming title track from South London duo Lightboxes new album, which is due for release in Spring 2019. 

With influences across the board, from earthy Southern African cross-rhythms to Little Dragon's electronic psych-pop, Play Fair presents a take on modern love that soulfully blends hypnotic beats and a unique London flavour.

Lightboxes are Donna Thompson on vocals/drums/guitar and upright bassist, guitarist and producer John Atterbury. On stage they are joined by Sarah Williams White and Nick Powell who compliment the duo with their individual interpretations of the songs, creating a live show not to be missed. Their previous single ‘Something Else’ received praise from Jamie Cullum on his BBC Radio 2 show, as well as airplay on Radio X and BBC 6 Music.

The album will be the 2nd body of work from Lightboxes, the first being their 2014 “Let it Grow” EP which is available on all major music platforms including Spotify and Bandcamp.
