➜ Anna Morskaya is an artist whose music has been released on labels such as Over My Body,
Hyperlink, Infinito Audio Network, Postworld, Geometric Corruption, Exiles, Researchcore, Curiosity Pill, and more. She is known for her intricate and emotional soundscapes, and now turns to a different kind of stillness.

< a/ntity > is a voice of light breaking through silence. It lives in the space where trance dissolves into air, where rhythm exhales rather than marches. The music is built on radiant, psychedelic major harmonies and fractured pulses — not a linear movement toward climax, but a blooming, a flare, a sun that refuses to set.

➜ EP called “mouth full of echo” is the first dawn. A blinding, golden surge spilling over every surface. It’s the sound of something that shouldn’t have survived the night, but did — and now sings, fiercely, joyfully, with a mouth full of sunlight and echo. It’s a triumphant sunbeam burning through the fog, warm and merciless, filling the world with itself.

Engages us with bass music's ancestor. Dub, marinated in squelchy, minimal and glitchy vibes to bring the genre to the modern ear. Brujo's Bowl - Subminimal message (Expedizion RMX)

Inspired by the luscious vocals of the original track, I decided to opt for a more gentle, chilled-out vibe for this remix. Throughout the process my head kept trying to make the tune "more bangin" or "more psychedelic" but my heart kept telling me to just dial it back, be vulnerable, let the vocals set the mood and the tone, and don't try to force it into something it doesn't want to be.

A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.
The result is the 'Auxiliatus' EP. From the Latin to support, Alterra, Shwamp , and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on Seeded, D&N and Glimpse, respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, Seeded, to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.

Twin Shape & Shwamp - D&N

Audiohuasca

Sati (Sanskrit: सती / satī) is derived from the name of the goddess Sati, it is a historical practice. The track utilizes a triplet driven base around a solid bass, fitting in a brooding and dark atmosphere, filled with twisted sounds and a speech describing a daily mental practice.
Maktub contains more melodic contents, a fusion of different influences. Between sampled instrumental elements, arps and synth lines create a colorful balance to drive the listener to a cordial place somewhere in the middle east.
Songbeam is a collaboration with UK midtempo producer Tryptich. It combines melancholic atmospheres and textures with driving beats and bass to create an emotive, yet funky journey.
Rainfall transforms a beautifully sad Hungarian folk song into a seven minute long psychedelic glitch-trip.
