Child Seat, the powerhouse duo formed in 2021 by Madeleine Mathews (MAWD) and Josiah Mazzaschi (Light FM, Bizou), turns pandemic setbacks into indie rock gold. With the entirety of their debut album written remotely during the pandemic, Mathews’ powerful rock vocals, reminiscent of artists like Brittany Howard/Karen O., creates a unique juxtaposition over Mazzaschi's 80's synth-heavy instrumentals and blended with MGMT/Beach House/Arctic Monkeys vibes. 
 
Child Seat encompasses both Mathews and Mazzaschi’s strengths. Mazzaschi has over 20+ years of success recording and producing artists like The Jesus and the Mary Chain, Jeff Schroeder of the Smashing Pumpkins, Deap Vally, Built to Spill, Rilo Kiley and more, as well as writing/performing for his own projects; Light FM, Motorhome, and Bizou. Mathews, who has fronted and written for numerous bands as well has won songwriting competitions, is defined by her unique vocal styling and powerful lyricism.
 
Child Seat just released their debut album in the Fall of 2022 with features from Jeff Schroeder of the Smashing Pumpkins and saxophonist Ron Dziubla (with notable features on Jon Batiste's Grammy winning album).

Los Angeles dream pop band Light FM began as an outlet for singer/songwriter/ producer Josiah Mazzaschi’s home recordings in his then home of Chicago in 1999. Fast forward 20 years and the band is continually cranking out dreamy, driving 80’s indie rock with elements of shoe gaze and atmospheric guitar textures.

The last few years has seen them tour the US with The Smashing Pumpkins, mainland Europe and the UK, and share the stage with The
Jesus and Mary Chain, The National, Ra Ra Riot, and many more.

Bizou features current and former members of Light FM, The Smashing Pumpkins and Glaare. Combining propulsive darkwave rhythms, shifting synth scales, haunting vocals and a wall of shivering shoegaze guitars, Bizou craft a sound entirely their own. Formed in 2017, Bizou have shared stages with Drab Majesty, Otzi, Hunny and many more - spinning gossamer waves of dark and bright sonic textures around goth and pop audiences alike. Their debut full-length, Tragic Lover, will be available this Spring on all platforms.

Songs recorded mid-90's by Eli Miller (1971-2001), an innovative Chicago musician, singer and songwriter who recorded with New Radiant Storm King, Motorhome, and Bunny, and passed away far too young after grappling for years with mental illness.  Maintained by his friends, who still miss him.
