Inspired by the quiet musings of troublesome love and the path to understanding, the emotionally evocative music of indie-folk singer-songwriter, Kyle Britton, epitomizes storytelling in its truest fashion. Britton’s distinctive sound combines undeniable dark undertones with roving melodies and atmospheric refrains, offering a unique experience for his listeners.
 
“Riddle”, the first of two singles, is a song detailing the demise of a poisonous love affair and the enduring pain that follows. “Never able to accept love again, every man who she came across from then on was in for a world of pain and heartbreak”, confides Britton. As the song builds, the Belle Epoque-inspired strings render the listener to a melodic montage.
 
On “Villain”, Britton successfully demonstrates diversity as both a lyricist and performer. The dramatic self-confession, encapsulates its audience through the use of defiance against typical folk arrangements, opening us up to our ‘villainous’ side.
 
Britton enlisted help from Los Angeles’ most seasoned musicians including Kyle Crane on Drums (Daniel Lanois, Elle King) and renowned violist, Ginny Luke (Rihanna, Dave Matthews Band). Famed engineer, Darryl Swann (Macy Gray), made sure to highlight Britton's warm and natural vocals.
 
Perhaps it was growing up in a military family which led to Britton's desire for non-conformity and individuality. Britton expressed on his father's influence "I grew up with my dad telling me that if music is not evoking an emotional response it's not doing its job."  The EP is a demonstration of Britton’s continuous hard work towards his childhood dream. His natural dedication has led him from ‘fake-playing’ his 7-year-old rendition of Def Leppard’s ‘Pour some sugar on me’ to creating an EP that actively analyzes his decisions in life, whilst convincing us to do the same.

Montagues & Capulets are a New Pop/Indie Rock band from Norwich, Norfolk. Having formed in 2014 the band consists of two members Ross Allen (22) Lead Guitar and Nathan Baverstock (20) Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals. The duo met during the Autumn in the opening term of a local college. After writing a few songs together it became apparent that the two worked well together. 

Nathan and Ross created an acoustic duo. The pair began to get to know each other better during rehearsals and a handful of gigs, but it was clear to them both that their music was limited as a two piece. After recruiting two new members Montagues & Capulets were born; and continuing to write together Nathan and Ross created their first demo track ‘Landscapes Of Youth’. 

The band took their music to the road which resulted in sell out shows in small venues across the country such as Norwich Arts Centre, The Waterfront as well as Camden’s Proud and Dublin Castle. Plus, they were rewarded with slots at Festivals such as Latitude, White Noise and Tramlines. The track shifted over 1,000 copies and was written about by various Magazines including ‘Outline’ who gave the LP 8.5/10 saying it was a “sensational debut from these talented young fellas” and American Magazine ‘The Equal Ground’ commented on the group as “Ones to Watch. Expect huge things from these English kids”. Alongside these credits there was radio play from National stations BBC Radio Norfolk, Future Radio, Radio Croydon plus several spins from Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens. Following their BBC Radio 1 recognition the group were invited to perform for Radio 1s Academy gig alongside Sundara Karma and The Bohicas. The group have also supported artists such as The Crookes, Cast, Dr. Feelgood and many more. 

The Autumn of 2015 saw two new session players (Jack and Jacob) who were also studying at Access to Music Norwich join the group. Nathan and Ross continued to write and after a constant array of gigs the pair produced ‘Aileen’ which has already been branded “A no-mess feel track with a unique twist. Tones of Frustration and desperation aid to it’s easily identifiable vibe. Montagues & Capulets are the next indie rock quartet to look out for. A great track from a seamlessly musically-coherent band. Effortless talent that I haven’t heard in a band for quite a while!” by blog ‘Indiependent’.

With a whole set being chosen from songs written over the years the band have perfect their live set. Set to release their second single ‘Somewhere In between’ - It’s going to be an explosive year for The Montagues & Capulets. 


The Jumping Guns are an pop rock rock band from Cape Town, South Africa.

Known for their feel good, upbeat songs that still contain a positive and important message, they've played alongside notable acts in South Africa such as Desmond and the Tutus, Al Bairre and Fokofpolisiekar.

Their first single was featured on BBC Radio in the UK, among others, and they released their new single "Masses" in August 2015 to positive critical appraisal.
