Grouplove formado a partir de una amistad entre los cinco miembros de la banda. Hooper se reunió Zucconi en el Lower East Side de Manhattan, después de escuchar, y disfrutar de su música. A pesar de haber acaba de conocer, Hooper invitados Zucconi a una residencia artística en Creta estaba dejando para más adelante esa semana. Fue en este retiro donde se reunieron con el resto de la banda, Andrew Wessen, Rabin Ryan y Sean Gadd. Rabin, un baterista y productor, se crió en Los Ángeles con Wessen, un surfista y un guitarrista. También en la comuna fue Sean Gadd, un compositor y guitarrista naturales de Londres. La amistad entre los miembros se formó rápidamente, pero la banda no se formó hasta un año después de Gadd, Zucconi y Hooper en común sus recursos juntos y realizó un viaje al estudio de grabación de Rabin de Los Ángeles. Ahora forma, jugaron su primer show en El Cid en Los Angeles El 10 de mayo de 2010. La banda no es un extraño para trazar el éxito como la canción "Colores" se clasificó número 12 en EE.UU. alternativa gráfica de hoy y también fue ofrecido en Madden 12, FIFA 12, y MLB 2K12. Además, su canción "Tongue Tied" fue incluida en un iPod Touch de Apple comercial en 2011. [2] El 18 de junio de 2012, "Tongue Tied" alcanzó la posición número uno en el Billboard Alternative canciones, convirtiéndose en su primer número uno solo .

Butterfly Boucher live in the studio, Friday the 8th, before headlining at 3rd and Lindsley, on the 10th, at Nashville Sunday Night. Butterfly played songs such as "The Weather," "5678," and "Warning Bell." Check it out!
