DECEPTION BAY is the second single from Sydney based hip-hop/psych-soul-tronic duo BOO SEEKA.

The duo is just back from their first European trip – two months across Germany, Switzerland, France and Holland, where they played a mix of their own headline gigs and festivals.
In Sept this year they're back out on the road in Australia with SAFIA.

The live show blends distinctive altered states vocal melodies and slots them into a synth groove, underpinned by electronic kicking rhythm sections. ‘DECEPTION BAY’ is 3 short minutes of downright electronic bliss that vibes off the 80's for texture, beat and synth riffage. The band wanted to push the edges of the song out a little creating layers and have different rhythm patterns coming in and out. Experimenting on this track and slipping between their instrumentation and their old school hip hop/electro edge. Taking vocal melodies putting them through samplers again to make their spacey dance styles.

Deception Bay is out on JULY 8 thru Sureshaker.

'Asleep In The Machine' (single), sees singer Q-Dome in his element. The song maintains the unique Bootleg flavours with a sexy Rhodes piano and Jimmy's intergalactic guitar hooks laid down over a trip-hop beat. The feel and grit of a Bootleg song with the extra Rascal sheen. Bootleg's new album is being garnished as we speak, and is set for release at the end of this month (November 2015).

The boys will be dropping the clip for 'Asleep In The Machine' soon. Next up on the Bootleg Rascal tour stop is Europe. Where they'll be joining their brothers in arms Sticky Fingers on tour in November. Performing their own headline shows and supporting Sticky. Coming home, they're not slowing down, jumping straight onto three Aussie festival lineups; Festival of the Sun, Lost Paradise and The Falls Festival.

Inspired by the film Spirited Away which was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Einstein said you don't understand something unless you can explain it to a child, RIP studio Ghibli. Thankyou for providing such an elevated contrast to Disney, and a body of educating, life bringing art. Like the film, this song is about the defeat of greed and the elevation of innocent love (it also shares the same hidden meaning but hey we cant be too deep on a Monday)
