Taken from the EP 'Do You' set to be released on cassette 24th March, Blessin' are four friends from Denton, TX making blissed-out guitar pop with shoegaze aspirations.

Like Real Estate on codeine, 'Do You' is influenced by anxiety, friendship and damaged girls. Closing track 'Mono', streaming now on Brooklyn Vegan, is a succinct preview of the blissed out jangle-gaze that becomes signature throughout the five tracks. The song comes across as though the band were hypnotised prior to recording with the key phrase being an enunciated 'I feel the same' - malfunctioning halfway through with a series of hisses and clicks before quickly snapping back into action by a singular beat of the snare.

With clear plastic marbled artwork by Maxwell Morris, the release comes on a pristine white tape in a limited run of 50. We haven't ever properly released an American band before, which I guess says a lot about the quality of 'Do You' - we can't wait for you to all to hear it.

The Wet Secrets have been one of Edmonton’s hottest indie-rock exports for nearly 10 years. The band was formed on a dare by Lyle Bell, Trevor Anderson, and Kim Rackel. They rose to national attention with their debut album, 'A Whale of A Cow', in 2006. 

It’s been four year’s since the release of their sophomore album, 'Rock Fantasy'. In that time, vocalist and bassist Lyle Bell (Whitey Houston) focused on his other successful project Shout Out Out Out. Meanwhile, drummer and cofounder Trevor Anderson was making award-winning films.   
Anderson’s short, 'The Man That Got Away', claimed a short film prize at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012. 

On 'Free Candy', the band returns with a more mature, polished sound. The multi-talented Paul Arnush has joined the group on keys, congas, and vocals. You may know Paul for his work with Faunts and The Whitsundays. 
And the young Emma Frazier on trombone and vocals officially joined the band this year, too. We hope you enjoy the sounds of the five-piece together in CKUA’s performance space!

Diet Cig is a pop rock band from New Paltz, NY, fronted by Alex Luciano with Noah Bowman of Earl Boykins (Forged Artifacts) on drums. The five charming songs on the debut Over Easy EP, written by Alex in the comforts of her bedroom, capture the innocence of adolescence and infatuation. Over Easy was recorded on Halloween 2014 with Christopher Daly at Salvation Recording Co in New Paltz, NY (Porches, Quarterbacks, Earl Boykins) and mastered by Jamal Ruhe at West West Side Music. Over Easy will be released February 24th, 2015.
