Monocle 24 is Monocle’s round-the-clock radio station that launched in October 2011 and is broadcast from our headquarters at Midori House in Marylebone. The station delivers news and comment, plus magazine shows covering a range of topics including food and drink, urbanism, design, culture, business and print media. Here at Simply Syndicated we make audio entertainment. We have been known to make a video from time to time, but mainly we're audio people. We've been doing it for a long time, so we've made loads of stuff. Over the years we've talked about movies, music, TV, cooking, video games, books, beer, and Star Trek.

The show that gave rise to Simply Syndicated, Movies You Should See is at the heart of the network. This is no high-brow affair; it's what you get when a group of friends with different tastes in film gather in front of microphones to discuss, debate, dissect and devour movies for your delectation. 

From the gooey Ghost to the masterful Three Colours Trilogy, the crew leave no stone unturned across the genres and put each other through sometimes tough challenges. Disagreement, salty language and a heavy dose of irreverent humour might belie the passion for film and genuine pathos, but it's all there.

Formed in the summer heat of 2013, Silent Fangs is a female fronted trio that will make you bang your head, shuffle your feet, and believe that the rock and roll dream is still alive in Brooklyn. A blend of two distinct worlds, Silent Fangs marries the jangling, wide open plains of Texas to the caustic, unforgiving machine that is New York City. Singer and guitarist Jess Ledbetter bears a vocal style that sounds like Patsy Cline got into the Marlboros while brothers Brutus and Lewis Valleau thunder away beneath her with a ferocity and steadiness usually reserved for tractor-trailer engines. One look at the band and you can easily pinpoint who’s making which sounds. Contrasting the Valleau brothers’ dark denim and leather, Ledbetter wears luminous, neon pink hair that all but obscures her sparkly cowgirl-meets-space fairy garb. She brings a unique form of Light Magic that the boys focus into a sonic assault. The end result of this co-ed effort lies somewhere amidst the likes of Hole, Nirvana, and My Bloody Valentine.
