IDAN Rahamim - El Amor (Original Mix)

Berlin-East Frisian artist Heindenreich (@therealheidenreich) presents his new EP ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’ on ODD Pleasures (@odd-pleasures). A carefully crafted sonic journey through the subconscious landscapes of a twisted mind. Loaded with metallic percussion and syncopated rhythms the EP is characterized by mysterious atmospheres, rolling bass lines and beefy beats. On top of these we find obscure vocals provided by Timo Heidenreich himself on ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’ and swiss artist ANGST vor GRETA on “Die Göttliche Bewegung” adding to the tracks phantasmagoric vibes. Dirty guitars and psychotic synth melodies are the main ingredients of this freaked-out recipe, presenting a certainly explosive and catchy formula characteristically decorated with Heidenreich’s always present pinches of exotic flavors.

Rounding up the EP this time remixes come in the hands of Tel Aviv’s mighty producer Mishell (@mishellmusik), and Hanzo, head of Vienna based label Belly Dance Services and half of the duo Hanzo & Yaman.

@mishellmusik is an upcoming producer from Tel Aviv. His Slope EP is a very diverse record – every track with a different feel, from positive to even more dark vibes. All of them combine the same influences such as funky vibes, trance melodies, rolling house bass lines as well as organic percussions and instruments. The track Tika was created in collaboration with his good friend Lott.
On top Spanish acid line expert @bawrut contributed a slamming remix that totally sets the dancefloor on fire!

Yulia Niko and Coco Coco served up one of the tunes of 2020 with their 'Molly & Sally' single and now Berlin-based Niko is back to remix it with a second new version from Adam Ten & Mita Gami.

Niko was intoxicated with dance music from a young age and has spent time travelling the globe before settling in Berlin where she has set up her own vinyl only Tochno Techno label. She has also released on Baile Musik, Nervous Records, Plant74, played parties in LA and now revisits one of her standout tunes.

Her excellent take on 'Molly & Sally' is chunky and percussive, with warped synths and rumbling bass drawing you into to a state of hypnosis. As the synths grow more edgy and prominent the mood switches and an eerie breakdown makes for perfect dead of night dance floor action before the irresistible drums drop once more.

Adam Ten & Mita Gami have worked together plenty of times before. They have a cutting edge psychedelic house style that has found a home on labels like Diynamic Music, Crosstown Rebels, Maccabi House and Selador. Their version is brilliantly reduced to the core elements - a catchy boom bap groove, warm and rubbery bass and neat chord sequences. The freaky vocals bring that extra charm which will make this a hit all over again, especially when the haunting strings arrive later on.

This brilliant package brings two more terrific takes to the enduring original.
