Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to Kazakhstan. Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more focused energies — drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity, rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures. From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets — especially long-form closings — encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental. She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new territory without compromise — even as the context around her evolves. As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira—a platform shaped by their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in sound that speaks for itself. Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.

"I recorded this mix ahead of my set at Detect Classic Festival 2025, and it’s a good snapshot of where I’m at musically right now. It’s deep, hypnotic, groove-driven — somewhere between movement and atmosphere. Even though it’s a podcast, these are all tracks I’d absolutely play in a club or at a festival. They just have that extra layer that works in both contexts: headphones and dance floors. Argentina’s electronic music scene is on fire. Bursting with groundbreaking artists, a vibrant club scene, and a festival calendar that could rival any other country on the planet, it’s no wonder that the top DJs in the world compete to play some of the most prestigious and exciting venues in Argentina. Two Argentinian artists that have managed to gain notoriety in the international dance music scene are John Joseph and Javier Benitez. Not only have the duo released music on wellregarded labels like Stripped Digital, Modern Agenda, and MNL, their hard work has caused their music to become regularly touted by the world’s best DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Tenaglia, Petar Dundov and many more. Even more notable is the fact that John and Javier were remixed by the beloved Nick Muir, one half of the
iconic and groundbreaking duo Bedrock along with John Digweed. Pangea managed to sign ‘No Die’ from John and Joseph late last year after hearing Nick Muir play it at a festival, and it was only fitting that we enlisted some of the most exciting and sought-after producers in the scene today to remix the track.

Each track aims to provide the listener with a different type of listening pleasure. The Original Mix can be described as a proper fusion of a hypnotic techno vibe and their progressive roots. Its energy will work on both techno and progressive dance floors alike when mixed in properly. The first remix comes courtesy of Canada’s own Micah. Micah is a household name in the progressive dance scene due to his previous work with Release Records, Global Underground and his currently hot Ruhnsong label. Micah delivers a melodic yet punchy progressive rendition of the Original that is smooth and extremely dancefloor friendly, but also delivers Micah’s trademark warm and inviting sound. The uber talented Nomad in the Dark never disappoints, stripping down the Original and turning the melody on its head to
deliver a sonically pleasing acid lased dancefloor listening experience. Last but not least, fellow Argentinian and Pangea resident artist Alejandro R showcases his deeper side by taking a more bipolar approach to the
