Hi. We wanted to release a compilation album of unsigned artists performing songs Lennon/McCartney gave away. We wondered if we could use your song?

I wrote the music and lyrics for Living In The Trees years ago and recorded several versions with just acoustic guitar and vocal.

This grander production is a labor of love and gets essential help from an old high school bandmate Kevin Cosgrove who plays the lead guitar licks and joins in background vocals. I play acoustic guitars, bass and drums and I mixed and produced the track. Flutes are the only sample instruments.

In 1969, Paul McCartney wrote Goodbye for Mary Hopkin, a singer managed by Brian Epstein and produced by George Martin. This was one of Paul's non-Beatle big hits, attributed to Lennon/McCartney.

I've been happy to work with Sarah E Whatley (Wilkinson) on this cover -- she's an amazing vocalist and professional French horn player and music teacher, and this piece is a showcase for her talents!
