"currents of emotion” is a journey into the most intense and vulnerable parts of myself. each song represents a moment when i was swept away by feelings i couldn’t fully control—like being caught in a powerful current. these songs tell the story of how love, desire, fear, and joy have shaped me and how those emotions have taken over in unexpected ways.

it’s about those times when my emotions felt bigger than anything around me, like in “violently happy,” where the excitement and longing for someone made me feel like i could do anything reckless just to feel closer to them. in “venus as a boy,” i explore the beauty and tenderness i saw in someone, almost like an obsession with the purity of their presence.

but it’s not all chaotic. there’s a softer side too—like in “i’ll take care of you.” it’s that instinct to protect and nurture someone i love, to be their safe place when they’re vulnerable. on the other hand, “anchored in the deep” reflects the need for stability, finding peace in the quiet depths of myself, even when everything else feels out of control.

at the core of “currents of Emotion,” there’s a sense of movement—sometimes smooth, sometimes turbulent. It’s about surrendering to what I feel, allowing myself to drift between love, longing, excitement, and peace. Every track is a different wave, sometimes crashing hard, sometimes gently lapping against the shore, but always pulling me somewhere new. This album is a reflection of the highs and lows, the chaos and calm, and learning to live within that emotional ebb and flow.
