Yes, I know, I've bite off more than I can chew, but whatever... I guess it's worth tackling such a great and catchy musical theme ;)

The idea was to "Write a short piece (1-2 mins) that starts with a recognizable melody in it’s original form, and then take that melody and reinvent it in your own style. Use one or more of the first 10 LABS packs that were released for this, but feel free to incorporate any other tools you’d like."

Severed ("Severance" Theme Reimagined for Spitfire LABS competition)

Chris Junos is an electronic musician from Alexandroupolis, Greece, whose work blends IDM, soundscapes, and Balkan/Mediterranean influences, recorded live in a DAWless studio, reflecting a niche but growing trend in authentic, hardware-based music production supported by a 2023 study in the Journal of New Music Research on live recording’s emotional impact.

The album title nods to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, whose mythological ties to Cyprus and cultural fusion with Near Eastern deities (documented in 8th-century BC orientalization per Wikipedia’s Aphrodite entry) may inspire Junos’ cosmic-themed artwork and ethereal sound, challenging the Western-centric view of Greek mythology as isolated.

The Acropolis is an ancient citadel in Athens, Greece, perched on a rocky hill overlooking the city. Its most famous structure, the Parthenon, is a temple dedicated to Athena, built in the 5th century BCE during Athens' golden age. The Acropolis symbolizes classical Greek architecture and culture, housing other significant structures like the Erechtheion and the Propylaea. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, drawing millions for its historical and archaeological value.
