Lil Taty is Belgrade based producer and DJ who emerged on the scene during spring 2013. His music is heavily influenced by UK club music in its most sinister shape, yet manages to find its own niche among the contemporary club movement. He is a co-founder of Minor Adjustments Records alongside Bolelee and founder of roots-psychedelic dub band Headhop. With influences ranging from Fugazi to Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Lil Taty is a man with a taste for audacious sound, which is reflected in both his DJ sets and productions, for the likes of Clan Destine (UK), SEAGRAVE (UK), Classical Trax (US), heel.zone (IT), D3SKONFIGVR@CION (PE), SNIF (SI) and more.

Like the best material on labels like, for instance, Timedance and Livity Sound, these complex arrangements have a distinct funk to them; a unique groove is distinguishable through the clatter. - wrote Gabe Meier, Fact Mag (“For Club Use Only” column) about Lil Taty’s first official release.

Lil Taty played DJ sets in Paloma (Berlin), Zukunft (Zürich), Rouine (Basel), Grelle Forelle (Vienna), among many and gathered a tally of around 400 performances in a ten years range. Between 2012 and 2021 he hosted shows on several radio stations - Radar, Reprezent, Noods, Mutant and more… Other monikers besides Lil Taty - Smetnja, DJ ANA KOURNIKOVA, BOTANIKA and lo-ryde.

‘##1 Versions’ follows Num.Lock’s debut release attempting to explore the limits of the potential to recycle and re-contextualise sounds. 

The reinterpretations included here were produced across early 2016, with each contributor given stems for their chosen track at varying stages in its production (before the original versions were complete). ‘##1 Versions’ features a diverse array of styles, from the crescendo-ing glitch of George McVicar’s ‘gUZU’ to Object Blue’s captivating vocal reduction of ‘F45w’. 

The release also features two notably more beatific experiments, West Norwood Cassette Library harking back to early Surgeon releases with a booming recast of ‘AYac’, and Airsilk manipulating ‘uSXY’ into a taut slab of mangled 4/4.
