There are not too many things I love more than house music and champagne!  And this set reflects how happy I was while throwing it down! Its chalk full of fun bouncy house & nudisco tracks, including the debut of one of my very own remix mash up!  This was played at Burning Man for Bubbles and Bass's famous all girl line up closing party on Saturday!  What a way to round  out such a fabulous week in the dust!

Labor Day weekend glamping alternative for burners and non-burners hosted in the woodsy Sierra Nevada foothills with 130+ acres of stunning outdoor/indoor playground. Well curated family-friendly and adult centered events, highlighting all the beauty of Deloro Valley in Tuolumne, west of Yosemite. 

So much gratitude to Derek Hena, co-founder of the Pink Mammoth Burningman camp, for his intention of intimate connections through workshops, themed gatherings, wellness sessions, nourishing meals, and a stellar lineup of talent behind the decks.  The staff at Deloro Valley worked so hard so we didn't have to!

My decision to attend was last minute and I was so fortunate enough to play on the Function One main stage glam rock luau-themed night and for the Boomer FM radio station later that evening.  Sometimes spontaneous sessions lead to some incredible moments behind the decks and on the dancefloor.  The beauty of daytime to nighttime sets evolved with each performance. The people were the heartbeat of this experience.  Homegrown warmth, connections, and organic fun!

This set is dedicated to all those inspiring and uplifting moments and it's packed with some wicked punchy basslines!

Lil' chris is a product of the influential 80s.  The early exposure of B-boys, street battles, freestyle, and hip-hop culture cultivated the dancer within and the daily obsession to record live radio DJ sets on cassette tapes.  

Borrowing two turntables, a mixer, and two crates of vinyl, helped to hone her mixing skills while in college. The rising popularity of the underground electronic music scene forever changed the journey that she took alongside her best friend, Christine.  A collaborative female DJ duo, known as Joint Sessions was born. 

"Chris & Chris" played alongside iconic names such as Donald Glaude, Joey Mazzola, Ellen Ferrato, and Dave Coleman & Sen-sei as well as guest spots on LIVE 105 Subsonic show.  They maintained frequent rotations at some of SFs most notable clubs/bars - 1015 Folsom, Kelly's Mission Rock, The End Up, Butter, Wish bar, Snowdrift, 111 Minna, and Mighty - as well as invitations to SFs Black & White Ball, Beats for Boobs Fundraiser, and local renowned campouts such as Strategik and FnF.

In the year 2010, lil' chris co-founded a local DJ collective, STiRTy, known for creating a dynamic atmosphere on the dancefloor, with a sub-genre focus on house, progressive, breaks, and techno blends.  Resident DJs include Trev, O'Henry, Raydeus, CaseyDC, Rizen, and new talents Alcazar and The Getdown. STiRTy collaborated with a strong community of friends and hosted an annual summer campout for 13+ years, known as BoomBoomWoods (BBW). 

Lil' chris exemplifies a unique style in her passion for connection with a diverse audience.  It is this groove theory that makes her infectious and unstoppable.
