Any movement requires a team. Atlanta's DJ Scream knows that fact very well. The artist, Hoodrich Entertainment founder, mogul, and personality has spent his entire career focusing on ways to assemble the strongest hip-hop collective possible, constantly looking to the underground and beyond for the next wave of talent. That same mindset fuels his forthcoming full-length debut for Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records, Hunger Pains.

"It's a tribute to street music and all of the guys out there vying to reach a new level," he explains. "It's about being hungry whether you're just starting out or you've seen massive success in the game already. I wanted to bring those two sides together. I'm pushing the young artists who are trying to get to that legendary status as well as the icons to give me the same hunger. New people are playing with legends on the same court. The best music comes from being hungry and feeling those Hunger Pains. I'm the orchestrator of all that."

This became his dream at a very young age. With parents who actually met in a record store, Scream seemed destined to pursue music. After watching Juice, he recognized the power of being a DJ and saved up money for his first set of turntables at twelve-years-old. By the time he entered his senior year at college, he became the campus's hottest DJ, playing nearly four nights a week." I think I was making more than some of my professors," he laughs.
