Story
Between Faith and Love
A story of souls divided between the eternal and the human
In a world suspended between two moons—one of silver, the other of fire—lived Ainara, daughter of the monks of Silence, trained since childhood to hear the voice of the gods in the wind. Her life was one of devotion, discipline, and renunciation. She had never felt the tremor of a caress or the vertigo of a desire.
But on the eve of the dual eclipse, when both moons crossed in the sky, Kael arrived, a traveler from distant lands, with eyes like a storm and songs that spoke of love, loss, and rebellion. He didn't believe in gods, but he did believe in the strength of feelings. His faith was love itself.
Ainara heard him sing under the cypress of broken oaths, and something in her chest cracked. Every encounter with Kael was a crack in her faith, a flame in her soul. He spoke to her of freedom, of choosing love even if it hurt, even if it was fleeting. She spoke to him of eternity, of sacrifice, of the peace that comes with total surrender.
On the night of the eclipse, the gods offered Ainara a gift: to become an eternal oracle, without age or death, but without human love. Kael, in turn, offered her the chance to flee together, to live a short but fiery life, where each day would be a poem.
Ainara stood between the two moons, between faith and love. And she chose…
