Sazanka is a name of winter flower often seen anywhere in Japan. I love to see the flowers falling on the ground like snow flakes. It makes me think of our life time and all the beautiful gifts from the nature.

Was happy to participate in another Josh Clary jam!  
This one has an awesome vocal from Steve's Planet and the usual line up brings it here as well with...

Tez ripping the guitar rhythm and leads
Ken pounding out the beatz and 
JJ making it pretty with those keys. 
I was able to work in the solo in the second half and, with the help of K2 Ken get out a solid production with a nice mix and master.   I believe Tez may have added a bit as well to the post production. 

Basically it was really a true group effort.   Josh is really good with keeping things group focused and having the whole band work within his idea and vision for a song and yet still having the ability to contribute your own unique sounds.

Second Floor  - (Eclectic Collective)

This one is kind of an experimental deal.  The main riff has 12 guitars, each with something different about it.  Each of the 12 lines was played on a different guitar.  Some are tuned in octaves to the others, some from a mic'd amp, some from sims etc.. 
I wasn't going for a tight doubled guitar sound like you normally want, I wanted the sound of a dozen guitars sounding like a big loud thing.  
The beat for this comes from one of my friend's son, Zack, who is new to all of this and is just learning his DAW at age 19 and this was written on top of his beat so thanks Zack!
Also big thanks to Stonerjazz for the title and to Rekha for the amazing background vocal in this!

This painting depicts the Yoshiwara district, a licensed red-light district in the Edo period of Japan. It's a unique cultural aspect of Japan, and explaining it fully here is challenging. Interestingly, some men genuinely proposed marriage to courtesans. To some, the courtesans working here might have seemed like starlight in the night sky.
